Golf at The Dye

Designed by Pete Dye, with assistance from his son, The Dye Course opened in 1988. Featuring Dye’s signature design elements, such as railroad ties and island tees, it’s one of the best private golf courses in McKinney. In addition to 18 holes, our outdoor practice facility and The Lab, our indoor teaching facility, give you plenty of opportunities to polish your game. Stay active and connected with fellow golfers by joining a league or playing in our events and tournaments.

Course Overview

A par 72 measuring over 7,000 yards, The Dye Course boasts picturesque views, 40 acres of lakes, and newly resurfaced G-12 Championship Bermuda greens in 2022. Over its 30+ year history, it has hosted PGA qualifying schools, tournaments and NCAA Championships.

How does it play? We’ll let Dye answer that himself. During the course’s construction, he told The Golf Channel, "I’m not sure if it’s the toughest, but it does have the four hardest finishing holes I’ve ever put on a golf course." It was one of his favorite golf courses he built, and he frequently visited.
